All the energy in the universe is constant, simply changing form between heat, motion, light, and “stored energy.” But, it’s all the same thing – raw fuel.

The Metamorphosis: Transfer of Energy installation, RIMOSA interprets the flow of energy at Slater Mill from the Blackstone River through gears, cogs, people, and textiles. We want you to experience the energy flow that moves through you and enables our machines to work.

This installation, our biggest yet, features open ended, hands-on exhibits using sound, gears, cloth, light, magnetic poetry and more. After spending six weeks at the Blackstone Valley Visitors Center, RIMOSA’s Metamorphosis: Transfer of Energy is now at a public library near you!
